| Field notes | Solitary or sometimes with suckers at base. Stem bend, 20 cm, 4 cm diam., with numerous adventitious roots. Leaves 10, erect, arching; sheath of lower leaf 12 cm, open to base, brown; petiole 40 - 50 cm, 0.4 cm wide, rounded below, flat above; rachis 35 cm; pinnae up to 4 per side, but most often trijugate, basal pinnae 29 X 6 cm, middle pinnae 28 X 6 cm, apical pinnae 23 X 8 cm. Inflorescence interfoliar, spicate, erect; prophyll 33 cm, 1.5 cm; peduncular bract 28 cm, inserted just above prophyll; peduncle 53 cm, 0.5 cm wide, flattened; rachis 16 cm, 1 cm wide. |
