| Field notes | Solitary. Stem 20 cm, 4 cm diam. Leaves 6; sheath 16 cm, petiole 65-70 cm; rachis 67 cm; pinnae 3-4 per side, 4-12 veined; lower pinnae 50 x 10 cm, middle pinnae 45 x 11 cm, apical pinnae 35 x 12 cm. Inflorescence infrafoliar; prophyll 17 x 3 cm; peduncular bract missing, but inserted 9 cm higher; peduncle 29 x 1 cm, green; rachis 10; rachillae 9, the 7 upper simple, green; lower 1. order rachillae 4 cm, with 3 2. order rachillae, 16 cm long, green; upper rachillae 13 x 0.4 cm. |
