| Field notes | Small, solitary understory palm. Stem lacking or subterrenean to 20 cm, numerous roots from subterranean stem. Leaves ca. 10, spreading. Sheath 5-6 cm; petiole up to 68 cm, rounded below, flat above, rachis 35 cm; pinnae 3-4 per side; lower pinnae 29 x 5 cm, middle pinnae 28 x 5 cm, apical pinnae 23 x 6.5 cm. Inflorescence 1 per plant, interfoliar; prophyll 10 cm; peduncle 65; rachis 9.5 cm, green. Immature fruits green. |
