| Field notes | Solitary palm. Stem 3 m, 6 cm diam. Leaves 15-20 radiating almost horizontally, dead leaves persistent for some time; petiole 70 cm, rounded below and above (terete); rachis 175 cm; pinnae 8 per side, almost evenly spaced, 5-9 veined; basal pinnae 87 x 7 cm, middle pinnae 97 x 16 cm; apical pinnae 60 x 10 cm. Inflorescences several, interfoliar; bracts fibrous; peduncle 12 cm somewhat flattened dorsiventrally; rachis 2-3 cm; 1. order rachillae 9, 42 cm. |
