| Field notes | Small palm with a procumbent stem; up to 1 m long, 6 - 7 cm in diameter. 12 - 20 contemporaneous leaves in the crown, each with an erect petiole 1.2 - 1.6 m long, and pergamaceous sheath 0.15 - 0.3 m long. Blade 0.7 m high x 1.2 m wide, divided into cuneate elongated, multi-pointed, many-ribbed segments (5-7). Infrutescence 0.35 m long, with rachis and peduncle strongly flattened. Fruit immature, green. |
