| Field notes | Caespitose. Stems 4-7 m tall, spiny. Sheath covered with yellow spines; pinnae ca. 15 per side, plicate, yellowish green. Inflorescence erect, twice branched, pistillate flowers white. NOTE: This same individual was collected 2 years ago (Skov, Borchsenius & Skov-Petersen 64708, AAU) - then inflorescence were only once branched, as normal for the species. |
