| Field notes | Unbranched tree, 8 m tall, 10 cm DBH. Only terminal increment with leaves, older ones with axillary buds; leaf scars V shaped, to 4 cm high. Terminal increment with a light brown, thin indument, resulting pale dull light green; axis 40 cm long excl. inflorescence, 6 cm diam. at base, 4 cm diam. at apex. Leaves 20, basal one with petiole 88 cm long, 2 cm diam. above the clasping base; blade 8-9 lobed, 51 cm long, incised 3/5 of its lenght; distal leaves 3-5 lobed, incised 1/3, with petiole 17-22 cm long, blade 27-35 cm long; uppermost leaves borne among inflorescence branches, reduced, blade to 10 cm long, petiole 10 cm long. Inflorescence axis 30 cm long; branches numerous, simple or the lower branched. |
