| Field notes | Plant 2.8 m tall, leaves distinctly purplish-red beneath. Blade 70-90 cm x 28-35, pulvinus 10-18 cm long, sheath 84-100 cm long. Inflorescence 40-57 cm long measured from node, rachis 28-36 cm. Flower white. No fruits. |
