| Field notes | Clusters to 3 m tall incl. inflorescence. Most mature leaves ripped in a banana-like fashion, the lamina thin compared to nearby Phrynium giganteum and hence easily ripped. Flower white, corolla tube 55-60 cm long. Fruit pale greyish green. Seed black, aril bright orange |
