| Field notes | Clustering herb, each shoot with 2-3 leaves, total plant length 225-340 cm (lying on the ground). Sheath 60-80 cm long, petiole 71-135 cm long including a 14-20 cm long pulvinus. Blade 75-115 x 33-39 cm, midrib yellowish beneath, blade shining green above, pale green below. Inflorescence termnal on a 80-100 cm tall stem, protruding from the top of leaf sheath, with one accompanying leaf attached at node 18-19 cm below inflorescence. Lower infloresence nodes with 3-4 branches, the longest 40- 62 cm, entire inflorescence ca 60 cm tall, glabrous. Flowers white, slightly yellowish. Fruit pale greyish green, shiny, rounded-triangular in cross section. Flower 8 cm long, 2 flower pairs per special paraclade. Flower tube 5.2 cm long |
