Field notes Solitary palm tree, stem 2.40 m tall, 45 cm in diam.; leaves 18; petiole 150 cm long; rachis 500 cm long; 106 pinnae on each side, spreading in different planes and irregularly arranged. Male inflorescence cream coloured and with strong sweetish odor, producing heat. Peduncle 90 cm long, rachis 68 cm, prophyll 67 cm, and bract 120 cm long. Flowers borne on stalk. Flower visitors collected. Ontogeny voucher (alcohol material at AAU) and DNA voucher.
