| Field notes | Solitary, stem 1.5 m tall, 35 cm in diam. incl. sheaths. Leaves c. 20, sheath + petiole c. 70 cm long, rachis 3 m. Pinnae 88 pr. side, regularly inserted, in one plane. Male inflorescence with prophyll brown, bract orange, c. 70 cm, spike c. 1 m long, flowers light yellow. |
