| Field notes | Treelet, 2-3 m tall; stem inclined, 4-5 cm diam. Leaves green above, light greyish-brown tomentose below, with 5 major and 2 minor lobes, incised ca. 3/4 to base, lobes turned downwards in vivo. Inflorescence a terminal panicle; main axis ca. 40 cm long, with 48 horizontal to ascending branches, to 30 cm long, brownish violet with a somewhat paler tomentum. Flowers in heads; peduncle 10-15 x 2 mm; petals white, ca. 3 mm long; stamens 5; anthers pinkish orange |
