| Field notes | Tree, to 5 m. Stem, sheath, ligule, and petiole with numerous lenticells. Whole plant glabrous, developing leaves sometimes encaged in jelly. Older petioles pointing downwards, but straight; pinnae horizontal to hanging down. Flowering branches 13, borne on a 3-4 cm long main axis, erect and curving to vertical position, green, smooth. Fruiting heads glabrous, green (immature) |
