| Field notes | Solitary. Stem to 6 m tall, 8 cm diam., covered with fibrous old sheaths. Leaves ca. 20. Inflorescences more or less erect, interfoliar, once or sometimes twice branched. Sheath plus petiole 95-120 cm long, rachis ca. 95 cm long. Pinnae 13-14 per side, in one plane, looking narrow and stiff on older tall individuals. |
