Leaves on flowering branches alternate, 7-10 cm apart; ligule 4-6 cm long, ca. 2.5 cm wide at base; petiole 40-50 cm long, ca. 1 cm in diam., green, orange or violet, with a brown, caducous tomentum; leaflets 5-7, more or less pendulous, dark green and transversely furrowed above, paler below, with a greyish to reddish brown, caducous tomentum; veins prominent below; petiole of central leaflet 9-13 cm long, ca. 5 mm in diam., those of basal leaflets 5-7 cm long: central leaflet 40-62 x 12-19 cm, with a 2-3 cm long acumen.
