| Field notes | Tree, 7-8 m tall. Young branches and petioles red. Hypanthium green. Petals pink to light pink. Stamens dimorphic, the short ones with yellow anthers and bright-yellow connective appendages, the longer ones with yellow-green anthers with a wine-red longitudinal line and yellow-green connective appendages. Style creamy-white suffused with pink at the tip. Frequent at roadside. |
