| Field notes | Tree with several trunks, ca. 4 m, growing from the main trunk which has been cut. Cortex greyish brown. Spines all over, to 5 cm long, light gray. Flowers at anthesis bright yellow, later brown. Young pods light green, mature pods dark red or brown. |
