| Field notes | Pachycaul, unbranched tree 4 m tall, 8 cm diameter. Flowers cauline, fasciculate, borne on trunk. Corolla and stamens bright pinkish red. Common name "pacora"; this name also applies to other species of Grias and Gustavia. |
