| Field notes | Terrestrial herb, near Purut river, up to 2.5 m tall, rhizome ca. 10 cm between 2 shoots, scale dark brown (wilted), adscending; 1 cm diameter, stiltrooted, swollen at the base of the shoots, yellowish brown stem, sometimes green, leaves dark green above, mid green below, infructescense yellowish green to pale covered by the old brownish bracts. |
