| Field notes | Terrestrial herb, stilt rooted (red to brownish), rhizome short erect, swollen red at base of each shoot with brown scale (wilted) stem mid green and dark pubescent, ligule pubescent, sometimes bilobed; leaves dark green above, mid green below, completely pubescent below the leaves; inflorescence red, arising at the base of shoots slimy, bract red at the edge and yellowish green middle, sometimes it is yellowish green; infructicance yellowish green, peduncle up to 8 cm. |
