| Field notes | Terrestrial herb 1 m tall, rhizome 0.5 cm diameter, long creeping, yellowish, base swollen, sheath glabrous, ligule twisted to the side not symmetrical, leaves dark green above and purplish below (particularly towards the margin), glabrous inflorescence derived from lateral rhizome (5 cm to 10 cm), peduncle 4 cm, fertile bracts red in the middle, flowers red with orange, stamen white. |
