| Field notes | Solitary; tall to 10 m high, stem 15 cm in diam., whitish brown with conspicuous nodal scars; leaves 17 in the crown, leaf 350 cm long, petiole 75-100 cm long, sheath 80-85 cm long, white powdery, fibrous at the margin, leaflets 87-89 in each side; Inflorescence interfoliar, 150 cm long, prophyll 50 cm long, persistent, peduncle 50-60 cm long, 3rd orders branches, bract caducous, 146 cm long, woody, boat shaped; Fruits small, sometimes bi-lobes and trilobes present, greenish and white when mature.
