| Field notes | Stems single, ca 15 m tall, smooth, unarmed, diameter: at base ca 12 cm, in median part ca 10 cm, at top ca 13 cm. Stiltroots, ca 30 cm high. Crown-shafts ca 1.2 m long, glaucous. Number of mature leaves 5. Petiole 0.4 cm long. Leaf-blade ca 2 m long. Number of inflorescences 3, pendent. Spathes reddish-brown, violet tinted. Immature fruits brown. |
