| Field notes | Stem single, unarmed, ca 5 m tall, and ca 2.5 cm in diam., without a crown-shaft. No of mature leaves: ca 8. Leaf-blade ca 1.5 m long; petiole ca 1 m. No. of infl.: 3, pendent. Small stiltsroots present. Fruits yellow, turning red when mature. Distance between internodes ca 9 cm in the lower part of the stem. |
