| Field notes | Stem ca 4 m tall, ca 9 cm in diam., uniformly thick, armed with black thorns. No of mature leaves, 7. Length of petiole: 50-75 cm. Length of leaf blade: ca 3.5 m. Wood sample and lower part of petioles also collected. |
