| Field notes | Stem solitary, ca 14 m high, ca 15 cm in diam in the central part, smooth. Upper part of stem formed by adnate leafbases, ca 1.2 m long, green, and smooth. Distance between internodes: ca 10 cm. No of mature leaves: ca 6. Length of free part of petiole: ca 15 cm. Length of leaf blade: ca 2-2.5 m. No of inflorescences: 1, pendent. No stiltroots present. |
