| Field notes | Heigth of stem: 7 m, single. Total no of mature leaves: 8. Total length of lamina: up to 2.5 m. Length of petiole: ca 30 cm. Diam. of stem: ca 15 cm in central part. Stem smooth, greenish but purplish suffused. Distance between leaf nodes: 4-5 cm. No of infl.: 2, pendent. Upper smooth part of stem formed by sheaths, ca 0.5 m long. Wood sample and lower part of petiole collected. |
