| Field notes | Suberect subshrub, 0.5-2 m long. Rhizomes horisontal, white, up to 1 m long. Sepals externally bright red, tipped green, internally orange. Petals yellow, distally light green, spotted with maroon. Anthers blue. Mature fruits and seeds yellow. |
