| Field notes | Solitary, climbing to 10m, stem length 15m, leaf length 4.5m incl. petiole 60cm and cirrus 2m, leaflets 58 per side, dark green on upper side, light green on lower side, sheaths green, diameter of stem 6cm incl. sheath, without sheath 3cm, inflorescences arcuate, 1m, with 10 1st order branches, branched to 3 orders, flowers male, bright orange red, with 6 yellow stamens consistently paired in three groups of 1, 2 and 3, smell jasmine-like, with small brown beetles with elongated snouts present of size 3mm; leaflets contracted at the base.
