| Field notes | Erect rattan with stem 1.5m, height 2.5m, eflagellate, climbing leaves 1.8m incl. petiole 40cm and cirrus 50cm, leaflets 25 per side, lower leaves 2m incl. petiole 40cm and cirrus 5cm, leaflets 70 per side, leaflets green on both sides, densely fine bristly on lower side, leaf sheath green-brown with black flattened spines with greenish yellow bumpy bases, inflorescences 30cm with persistent bracts, primary bracts leathery, armed with 5mm long spines, stem diameter with sheaths 3cm, without 1cm, internode length 10cm |
