| Field notes | Single-stemmed palm to c. 11 m; bole narrow, c. 15-18 cm d.b.h., smooth with faint leaf scars, ned length c. 4 cm. Crown of c. 34 suberect regularly pinnate leaves. Leaves c. 1.5-1.8 m long, arising from tight crown base; petiole bases broad with dense fawn/mealy indumentum and marginal fibres; petiole c. 35 cm long, with fawn-white indumentum on undersurface; rachis with dense white mealy indumentum on lower surface; leaflets regular, in 1 plane, c. 50 along 1 side, held horizontal from rachis, dark green above, with sparser white indumentum beneath. Inflorescence numerous, axillary, branched to 1 degree, suberect-pendulous with 5 bracts, all with dense fawn-white indumentum. Fruits appear to be beaked |
