| Field notes | "Solitary palm. Stem 645 cm long, 7 cm in diam; internodes 10.5 -12 cm long, brown; base of stem with adventitous roots. Leaves 7; sheath 95 cm long; petiole 50 cm long; rachis 190 cm long; pinnae 47 -48 per side; basal pinna 48 x 0.5 cm, middle pinna 59 x 4.6 cm, apical pinna 24.5 x 2 cm. Infructescence interfoliar, red; peduncle 46.5 cm long; rachis 98.5 cm long; rachillae 57, basal 41 cm long, middle 40 cm long, apical 26 cm long. Fruits black, ball-shaped, 1.2 cm in diam." |
