| Field notes | "Solitary? palm, very common on the part of the river bench which becomes inundated when the water level is high. Stem 2.3 m long, diam 5 cm; internodes 3 - 4 cm long, light brown, glabrous; leaves 7; sheath and petiole 80 cm long; rachis 125 cm long; pinnae 43 per side, regularly distributed, in one plane. Inflorescence infrafoliar; peduncle 22 - 29 cm long, 2 cm in diam, yellow towards the base, green towards the apex; rachis 20.5 - 39.5 cm long; primary rachillae 15, the 6 basal with secondary rachillae. Rachis and rachillae red. Fruits green." |
