| Field notes | Solitary palm. Stem 520 cm long from base to crownshaft. Dbh. 5 cm. Stem green glabrous with conspicuous nodes. Base of stem with adventitious roots. No. of leaves 5 + 1 juvenile. Leafsheath + petiole 94 cm long. Leafsheath encircling the stem for 43 cm long. Rachis 178 cm long. No. of pinnae 2 x 26. Pinnae inserted in one plane on the apicale part of the rachis and in an angel of 45° on the basal part of the rachis. No. of inflorescences 18 inserted at the 2nd node below the crownshaft. Inforescence: Peduncle 20 cm long. 1 prophyll + 3 peduncular bracts. Rachis 7 cm long. No. of rachillae 35. Dupl. QCA, ACNE. |
