Field notes Solitary palm. Stem 440 cm long. Dbh. 10 cm. Stem brown and rough from numerous leaf scars. No. of leaves 13 + 1 juvenile. Leafsheath 50 cm long, petiole 10 cm long, transition hard to measure. Lamina palmate. Pinnae 90 cm long. Lamina adaxially dark green glabrous and abaxially silver grey. No. of infructescences 2. No. of inflorescences 1, interfoliar. Infructescence: Peduncle 64 cm long cross section just below the basal rachilla ovate 3 x 0.7 cm. No. of bracts: 1 prophyll and 4 peduncular bracts: Rachis 40 cm long. No. of rachillae 65. Basal rachillae 26 cm long, apical rachillae 15 cm long. Peduncle, rachis and rachillae light green to yellow. Fruits light green, globular 0.5 cm in diam. Inflorescence light yellow. Dupl: QCA, QCNE.
