Field notes Solitary palm. Stem 385 cm long. Dbh. 3.5 cm. No. of leaves 5 + 1 juvenile. Leafsheath 45 cm long, encircling the stem for 24 cm. Petiole 18 cm long. Rachis 122 cm long. No. of pinnae 2 x 21. Basal pinnae: 30 x 3.5 cm, mid pinnae 45 x 7 cm, apical pinnae 23 x 3.7. Inflorescences: At 1st node: 1 inflorescence creased flowering and 1 decaying; at 2nd node: 2 inflorescences both decaying; at 3rd node: 1 infructescence with green fruits. Inflorescence: Petiole 11.5 cm long. No. of bracts: 1 prophyll and 4 peduncular bracts. Rachis 7.5 cm long. No. of rachillae 13. Basal rachillae 7.5 cm long, apical rachillae 3.5 cm long. Inflorescences creamy white. Dupl. QCA, QCNE.
