| Field notes | Solitary palm, very common in the area. Stem 50 cm long. Diam. 1.3 cm. Length of internode 9 cm. Stem green glabrous with conspicuous nodes. Base of stem with adventitious roots. No. of leaves 4 + 1 juvenile. No. of flower buds 3 inserted at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd apical node. No. of inflorescences 1 inserted at the 1 apical node. Inflorescence green. Infructescence and fruits orange. |
