| Field notes | Solitary palm. Stem 8 m long from base to lowermost leaf, dbh. 9.5 cm. Stem greyish-brown rough. No. of leaves 11 + 1 juvenile. Leafsheath + petiole 85 cm long transition hard to measure. Rachis 134 cm long, red. No. of pinnae 2 x 12. Pinnae inserted in one plan and of slightly different size. Basal pinnae: 57 x 6.5 cm, mid pinnae: 85 x 1.6 cm, apical pinnae: 50 x 6 c. No. of infructescences 3, intrafoliar. Peduncle 12 cm long, yellow-brown, cross section ovate. Rachis 4 cm long.
