| Field notes | Understory palm 145 cm tall in group of 2. Stem 80 cm from base to lowermost leaf; diam at base 1 cm, diam below lowermost leaf 1.1 cm. Stem blachisk-brown with remenceras of the leefsheets. No of leefs 6 + 1 uveile. Leefsheet 12 cm long, encircling the stem for 9 cm, yellow.green to green, slightly furrowed. Petiole 14.5 cm long, crosssection strait - concave, diam just below lamina 0.5 cm, green. Lamina bifid, largest leaf 60 cm long, 35 cm broad, pinnatly divided, green, adaxally with pronounced veins. Inflorescence: 1, at node 4, below lowermost leaf, 1 bud subtended by each of the following 2 leefsheets. inflorescence: prophyl 8 cm long, bicainote, splitting up abaxially nearly to the base, beige-brown with beige pubescence. 1 sheiting bract; 13 cm by splitting up abaxially nearly to the base, turned to the left side, light brown with beige pubescence. Peduncle 6 cm long, white-yellow with beige pubescence. Crosssection ovate, diam just below lowermost rachillae 0.4 X 0.7 cm. Rachis 1 cm long. No of rachillae 6. Basalmost rachillae 4.5 cm long, apical rachillae 6 cm long. |
