| Field notes | Solitary understory palm to 1 m tall. Stem to 12 cm from base to lowermost leaf, brown, rough, nods nod distinguisable. No of leafs 8+1 overile. Leafshed 17 cm long, green-brown petiole 31 cm long green. Rachis 37 cm long. No of pinnae 2x8. Pinnae green, glabrous slightly plicate, regularly distributed exept for some pinnae splitting up irregularly and therefore of uneaven size. Basal pinnae 20x4 cm mid pinnae 22x4.8 cm, apical pinnae 12.5x3.5 cm. Infrutescence 1 intrafoliar, prophyll bicarinate, creamy-white, 9 cm long, splitting up laterally in both sides, encircling the peduncle for 8 cm. Peduncular bract 17 cm long, light green to brown apically, splitting up adaxially, encirc ling the peduncle for 13 cm. Peduncle 55 cm long, green, crossection ovate, largest diam below spike 0.4 cm. Infructescence spicate, 17 cm long, dark red. Fruits ovale, green 0.9x0.6 cm |
