| Field notes | Tree 15 m tall, diameter 100 cm. Leaves a clustered 9-11 together in a module, at maturity the are in a more or less horisontal position. A leaf has 9-17 pairs of leaflets. Stipules are filamentous and early caducous. Inflorescences are terminally inserted, but few. The tree was at the end of its flowering season. Bracts (caducous), bracteoles, sepals, and petals are bright red. Stamens are white at bases and red at apices. Local name: Clavellíno, Algarobo (information from finca owner).
