| Field notes | Tree 15 m tall (more trees of this species in the plantation; they all function as shadowmakers), diameter 60 cm. Leaves a clustered 9-11 together in a module, at maturity the are in a more or less horisontal position. A leaf has 15-16 pairs of leaflets. Stipules are filamentous and early caducous. Inflorescences are terminally inserted, but few. The tree was at the end of its flowering season. Bracts (caducous), bracteoles, sepals, and petals are bright red.
