Field notes Solitary tree, 13 m tall, with a dome shaped crown. Branching pattern and phyllotaxy are distichous. Leaves are clustered 8-10 leaves together. Leaves have 4-7 pairs of leaflets per leaf. The inflorescences are terminally inserted, bell shaped, with diameters from 7-12 cm. The flowers are bright red and covered with a pubescence. Additional material in AAU: Flowers in alcohol, pods, leaf- and inflorescencebud. Local name: Clavellíno. .
