| Field notes | Tree, 16 m high, 60-70 cm in diameter. Leaves are modular (clustered few to 10 together) and in a distichous phyllotaxy, 7-13 pairs of leaflets per leaf. Stipules are filamentous and early caducous. The inflorescences are terminally inserted, to 30 cm in diameter, 120-130 flowers per inflorescence. Bracteoles, sepals, petals, apices of stamens, and anthers are bright red. Additional material (flowers in alcohol) in AAU. |
