| Field notes | Border of lowland rain forest. Tree 13 m x 25 cm DBH. Cauliflorous. Leaves clustered in terminal branches, to 70 x 40 cm, brigth green above and below. Bract, bracteoles and calyx lobes bordeaux red. Petals outside yellow with red spots, inside yellow, turning red after pollination, anthers red. |
