| Field notes | Herb to 50 cm, from basal rosette of leaves. Leaves dark olive green above, greyish-white below. Phyllaries greyish-purple, apical ones greenish with purplish red margin. Rau florets dark margenta-pink. Local in shrubby pockets. |
