| Field notes | "Tussock grass paramo with pocket of Polylepis forest in canyon. Cushion forming herb from tuberous roots. Leaves blue-green. Calyx pale green with red lobe tips and margins; petals bright pink on apical 1/2. Corolla close mid afternoon. Locally common." |
