Field notes Caespitose scandent rattan, cane about 0.8 cm in diam. Leaf sheath covered with ferrugineous tomentum, with few spines. Leaf petiole 3-5 cm long; leaf rachis 45-50 cm long; leaflets 2 x 18, irregularly distributed in groups of 1-3 and in several planes. Fruit whitish at maturity. Vernacular name: Wai ton (Thai). Used for making fish traps.
