| Field notes | Solitary, scandent, sterile palm. Cane up to 10 m long, about 1 cm in diam, internodes light green. Leaf sheath tubular, green, with knee just below the petiole; leaf petiole 5-8 cm long, leaf rachis 38-40 cm long; leaflets 2 x 6, chartaceous. |
